Individual relationship counseling in the Bay Area and across California

You can feel more connected, confident, and secure in your relationships.

Relationships are at the heart of our being, and when they feel out of sync often every other part of life does too. Do you notice difficult patterns that keep resurfacing across your relationships?

You’ve  tried so many things to make it feel better; and, despite your best efforts, it’s like you're on a roller coaster ride you can’t get off of.

The same arguments and communication breakdowns happen again and you're left feeling frustrated and at your wits end.  When you can’t take it anymore the “emergency exit” button looks like lashing out at your family, partner, and child(ren), or maybe it’s you shutting down again because you're tired, and tired of feeling stuck.

You're filled with guilt because your reaction doesn’t feel in line with how you want to show up with others.

You want to feel more grounded and connected in your relationships and you’re exhausted from the never ending ride.

Is individual relationship counseling right for you?

  • Do you:

    • Care a lot about what others think

    • Have a hard time asking for what you need or saying no

    • Lash out for small things that feel big at the time

    • Feel like your in inadequate parent, partner, friend, fill in the ______

    • Feel disconnected from loved ones and yourself

    • Want to communicate effectively and have a hard time doing it

    • Offer love without reserve to your child(ten), partner, family, and friends; and, withhold that same love from yourself

  • Do you notice this in one or more of your relationships with:

    • Yourself

    • Partner

    • Child/children

    • Parent(s)

    • Friends

    • Co workers

If any of these resonate with you, then you’re in the right place.

Individual relationship counseling helps you learn to be in relationships in a way that feels good to you.

In order to show up as your best self with others, we start by focusing on you.

I want to help you build a relationship with yourself grounded in curiosity, self compassion, and self love.

Dedicating this time to focus on your relationship with yourself  will have a positive ripple effect on the other relationships in your life.

Together we will celebrate what you are already doing that is going well, and get curious about what isn’t. We develop go-to strategies to challenge patterns and support you in feeling more grounded and connected in your relationships.

To begin changing patterns it is important for us to look deeper into how they arose in the first place. This allows you to see where you're stuck and challenge these deeply rooted patterns to create lasting change.

I will recommend low pressure exercises in bits along the way to help you put what we discuss into practice and move towards the relationships you envision.

Individual relationship counseling can help you..

  • Learn to identify and navigate difficult relationship patterns

  • Connect with yourself and others on a deeper level

I support you to heal your unhealed wounds, incorporate self compassion, and build a relationship with your child(red) that feels good for you both. • This is a time in your life when there is a great deal of change. You may feel the pressure to have things all figured out. You are experiencing the beginning and possibly ending of multiple relationships such as with romantic partners, friends, becoming a parent, starting or ending at a new job or new school. It’s a lot to hold all on your own, and maybe you have no idea who you are or what you want next for your life, and that's okay. In our work together you have a space just for you to explore, process, and figure these things out without any pressure to get it right or know all the answers.

  • When a major change happens things can feel rocky and unstable, even if that change is positive. This can be a move, the birth of a child, death of a loved one, school and career changes, and the ending or starting of romantic relationships. I support you in grounding and focusing on you in the midst of the chaos, adding more tools in your toolbox to be confident to handle what’s coming up, and navigating these changes in a way that feels supportive to you.
