A Powerful Compliment to the Great Work You’re Already Doing With Your Client

You’re a couples therapist who:

Has an individual in the couple whose trauma keeps coming up

You’ve done what you can to support them, and you’re realizing this individual could benefit from some targeted trauma focused work to support the couples work you’re doing. Maybe they aren’t bought into ongoing individual therapy which impacts the work you’re doing with them and their partner as a whole.

You’re an individual therapist who:

Feels stuck and doesn’t want to refer out

You have spent time building rapport and a foundation of trust with your client. They are your ideal client in many ways; and, as the therapy has evolved there are stuck points related to past experiences or a new trauma that feel hard to break through. You have tried different approaches and feel unsure on where to go and how to break through this barrier; and, you don’t want to refer them out.

Lets partner together and

enrich the work you’re doing

EMDR adjunct therapy allows us to work together to give your help your client resolve the trauma that is keeping them stuck so they can get back to work with you. Adjunct therapy is a complement to individual talk therapy, not a replacement. Clients continue to work with you throughout. We collaborate together and I provide adjunct EMDR therapy to focus in on and resolve the trauma material, memories, or somatic experiences keeping your client stuck.

How Does This Logistically work?

Step 1: Reach out. Share with your client how they could benefit from adjunct EMDR therapy and encourage them to schedule a free consultation with me. I also offer free consultations for therapist if you’d like to talk first.

Step 2: I require the client to sign a release to allow us to collaborate to provide the best care possible throughout the process.

Step 3: We agree upon a timeframe and cadence for adjunct EMDR sessions and begin working on the EMDR goals unique to your client and their stuck points.

Step 4: Adjunct therapy comes to an end and we wrap up our care coordination. Client resumes their work with you and the resolution of the traumatic material strengthens your ongoing individual work together.
